How it works
Formula: Team size = people ÷ teams, give or take one
The names are first shuffled (Fisher–Yates shuffle, with the browser's secure random generator), then dealt one by one, like cards. Every split is therefore equally likely, and teams never differ by more than one person. The list stays on your device.

What the calculation leaves out

Are the teams balanced?
In numbers, yes: one person's difference at most. The tool does not know how good the players are.
How do I make groups of 3?
Divide the number of people by 3 to get the number of teams: 12 people = 4 teams of 3.
Can I copy the teams?
